I love, love, loved Harrison's cake smash today, it was so much fun from the beginning to end. He has such a cheeky little personality, half way through the cake smash he started swaying along to Omi-Cheerleader, which had us all in giggles! He loved getting stuck in and was crumbing the cake everywhere! Harrison must be exhausted from all of the fun over the past two days, Happy First Birthday for yesterday gorgeous boy! 

Yesterday, on the hottest day of the year and quite possibly the decade, I photographed Jenson's first birthday cake smash! 

With his birthday just five days away, Jensons mummy baked and prepared a brilliant cake for him to smash. Jenson had other ideas, he would rather smoosh it between his toes than eat it, chocolate sponge was crumbled into tiny bits all across the floor. For the big clean up, we popped him into the bath tub (with refreshingly cool water).  Mummy said 'he's like a fish' and she was not wrong, as soon as he got in the smiles came out... along with lots of splashing and his favourite word 'duck'.  

It was so lovely to see his gorgeous little face again, just look at those big blue eyes! I have loved photographing his first milestones, watching babies grow and develop has to be one of my favourite parts of the job!

From bump to one year...

On Saturday evening I photographed Sylvia's surprise 60th birthday party, at David Lloyd in Milton Keynes. It was a beautiful evening, Sylvia's daughter Steph had arranged an al fresco dinner in the sunshine. Unknown to Sylvia, her friends and family were arriving at the main entrance, just a few metres away from their table! At eight o'clock all of the guests were ready and in position (thanks to Ollie) and as she walked in every sung 'Happy Birthday' to her.
