I couldn't resist sharing a few more photos from Freddie's newborn session, he slept like a dream at just 9 days old. He has the most amazing eye lashes (typical boy), and his little hairy shoulders are just the sweetest. He is absolutely gorgeous! I could have photographed him all day.


There is nothing sweeter than photographing a tiny little newborn. I love their tiny feet, little wrinkles and fuzzy hair, that is why I think its important to photograph them within the first few weeks of life (if possible). They change very quickly and once that 'newborn' look is gone its gone forever. 

My newborn style of photography is pure, simple and natural. I begin with beautiful natural light and introduce flashed lighting for family photographs, toward the end of the session. Once the session is complete the images will be carefully and lovingly edited, to remove redness, rashes, jaundice skin tones and face scratches. More information will be provided on how to prepare for your session after booking. 

I book my newborn sessions 1 to 3 months in advance, newborn sessions can be moved if baby comes before or after your due date.

Photographing newborn babies has to be one of my favourite and most rewarding parts of the job. Meeting brand new bundles of love is the best way to spend my days, whether we are lulling baby into a deep sleep or chatting away about the new member in your life. I always have a smile on my face, I just couldn't be happier capturing their precious first days. 

Little Archie was an absolute star throughout his first photo shoot at just nine days old. He slept like a dream from start to finish and unlike most newborn sessions he only wee'd once! Result! He is already a little model in the making, posing himself into the most adorable positions, his favourite having both arms above his head. I can't wait to see him again when he is bigger.

Booking your newborn session
You want treasurable memories of your newborn during the blurry whirlwind period after giving birth and bringing baby home. My newborn photography sessions provide a relaxed, chilled out experience where you can focus on your new member of the family. 

The first two weeks after your baby is born are the most precious and they will be gone before you know it. These first weeks are when I recommend you have your photo session. Newborns are much more sleepy and flexible which enables them to curl up into the sweet poses shown in my photography. However, two weeks is a very short time period after giving birth, so you should contact me after your 20 week scan to reserve our time together.

Upon arrival of your newborn, a set date will be made as soon as is comfortable for you...so if baby has already made an appearance, contact me quick as I can be busy due to unexpected arrivals.
